About Us
We are
Csillagliget Association creates and supports community initiatives built on local people’s knowledge, experience and cooperation. We believe that lasting change grows from within communities – when people recognise their own strengths and work together to shape their future.
We work with young people, families, civil society organisations, local authorities, professionals and international partners. Our programmes combine a wide range of approaches, from community research and future planning to experiential learning, digital storytelling, international cooperation and community innovation.

How we work
We always begin by getting to know the local community. We listen to the people involved, identify local strengths and challenges, and plan the next steps together with the community. We believe every programme should be built around active participation, turning ideas developed together into practical initiatives that can be put into action.
Our Priciples
Participation
The people involved do not simply take part in the process – they help shape it.
Human dignity, inclusion and equal opportunities
Every person has value and the ability to contribute to the development of their community. In our programmes, young people with and without disabilities take part and work together as equals. Inclusion is not a separate programme – it is a natural part of how we work.
Hope and building the future
We support initiatives that help young people recognise their own potential, discover the strengths of their communities and take an active role in shaping their future.
Collaboration and learning
We connect the experience of local communities with national and international partnerships. We believe that learning from one another opens up new opportunities for communities.
Responsibility and prevention
We place particular emphasis on preventing social risks affecting young people, creating safe communities, and strengthening a shared sense of responsibility for one another.
Partners
Csillagliget Association works with civil society organisations, local authorities, educational institutions and professional partners in Hungary and across Europe.
These partnerships bring international experience into local initiatives and help good practices reach new communities.
